Steve Ballmer Gets Egged at Hungarian University
Steve Ballmer, CEO of Microsoft, was egged during a recent speech at Corvinus University of Budapest, Hungary.
The egger accused Microsoft of stealing billions from the Hungarian people and demanded that Mr. Ballmer “give that money back right now.” Mr. Ballmer didn’t even have time to fork over his wallet, however, before the attacker began chucking eggs.
After ducking behind a desk, Mr. Ballmer coolly returned to his speech once the attacker was escorted from the room. —Catherine Rampell

Having never been egged before, I kind of thought old Steve was pretty fast on his feet, and he seemed to recover pretty quickly. I would not personally use the word awkward, unless you wanted to use it to describe the heckler’s overhand throwing motion.

Even more remarkable was the absence of a SWAT style take-down followed by repetitive tasing and gratuitous vulgar language.

WHAT HAPPENED AFTERWARDS:
The kid was taken to a back room where he was being held by a campus security guy and my Blackwater Bodyguard #6.
I told the university staff that I was concerned about him and wanted to speak to him personally. He was handcuffed and tied down to a chair. As everyone left so I could have my little “talk” with this poor troubled soul, I instructed BWBG#6, “Nobody gets in here for the next 45 seconds!”, he said, “I understand sir.”
The rest of my story goes like this:
“I approached the kid and he became irrational! He screamed, tipped his chair over backwards, slammed his head into the wall several times! I tried helping him up by the neck, but he tried to bite me! I released him and he fell to the floor hitting his head on my shoe (several times)! Boy was I glad to get out of there! That guy was crazy.”
The Hungarian authorities have assured me that he will never do anything like this again.

Probably the guy was only mad because good old steve mentioned exams. It probably had nothing to do with Microsoft’s track record as the most successful and least restrained monopoly the world has ever known.
