'The O.C.' Goes to College
Take the television hit The O.C., move it into a less hospitable climate, and slash the production budget. What have you got? The makings of an Internet phenomenon.
The B.C., a sitcom penned by Boston College students that airs episodes online, started as cheap parody of the popular TV drama. But thanks to a jokey script and a star turn by college's campus minister, the show -- which chronicles the story of a wrong-side-of-the-tracks student expelled from Boston University but accepted into BC -- has attracted more than 100,000 viewers.
