Since Court Ruled, Fewer Black Students Have Applied to Michigan and Ohio State

The number of black students applying to the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor and to Ohio State University has dropped sharply since the institutions replaced an admissions system that awarded extra points to minority applicants with one that requires essays.
