A Profile of College Presidents, 1986 and 2006

These are the findings of a survey on the characteristics, backgrounds, and experience of college presidents, conducted by the American Council on Education. The survey includes the responses of 2,148 presidents of public and private institutions. ACE first conducted this survey in 1986 and has updated it every few years since then.
