NB: Reader Murder Feedback WelcomeYes, please: your ideas, additions, twists, red herrings, plot points are all welcome and it would be a delight (expected, but don’t most real delights fall under that heading?) to see what might happen at Hillborne with your writerly, editorial, and readerly suggestions. Sorry, I’m late to all this. I was over at the Lifetime vs. Oxygen vs. WE cookie bakeoff (first prize: a personal consultation with Bridget Jones on how to find a junior faculty boyfriend who looks vaguely like Hugh Grant; second prize: a boxed set of the first season of “Snapped”; third prize: autographed photos of Sue Johnson and Suze Orman). But I have a question first. Does the last sentence of the previous post—“And so, rewarding himself, Mann’s killer drank again”—mean that the killer can’t be a woman? Or was this just an eensy-teensy slipsy-wipsy? Like I said, I’ve come in late and might have missed something.

I want a boyfriend who looks vaguely like Hugh Grant and I couldn’t care less about his rank or who hooks us up!!! Tenure track, adjunct, parttimer, who cares?!?Where do I sign up for this contest, Unlucky?

It means Mann’s killer drank the blood again!
btw, I’m on a 12-month contract, not tenure tracked.

Ah, the plot thickens!
Was there not a little sentence up there today telling us of a sinister pleasure in titles without letters that dip below the line?
And now that poor, foolish, original title is dead — its innocent descending appenda-g-e heartlessly axed and replaced.
Sadly, the title of this posting was not tenured but — contingent!
Who murdered “the murder title”? And left not a trace — the posting time unaltered, to hide it in the cache….
Ah, the silent demise of that poor, foolish title. What could be next? The murder of “the murder of the title”?
Reader, beware! Evil is a-foot and ali(g)ned with treachery!

I would like to go on the record to say that I am opposed to reader murder. Please keep murdering characters instead.
