The Royal Canadian Mounted Police has arrested three teenagers in connection with the vandalism, according to CBC News. Lawrencetown is about 80 miles west of Halifax. The Mounties said the vandals had broken into the building, found some baseball bats and “started swinging.” They smashed windows, computers, and lockers. Broken glass covered the lockers’ contents, which were strewn all over the building. College officials said cleanup crews had been working for two days to get the building ready for classes and make it safe enough for students to identify what is theirs. —Karen Birchard Posted on Thursday January 3, 2008 | Permalink |
