Hotel Accommodations at the Ritz-Carlton, Washington, D.C

All of the sessions and events will be held at the Ritz-Carlton, Washington, D.C. The Chronicle has arranged for a block of rooms for the Forum at a group rate of $259 per night plus tax.

Attendees are responsible for their own hotel accommodations. Hotel reservations at the Ritz-Carlton can be made by phone or online.

For individual reservations at the Ritz-Carlton, Washington, D.C., call (202) 835-0500 or (800) 241-3333 and reference "The Chronicle of Higher Education" to receive the group rate. To book your room online, visit the Washington, D.C. reservations page, click "Optional Information" below the dropdown menus for choosing your arrival and departure dates, and enter the group code CHRCHRA.

All reservations should be received by the Ritz-Carlton no later than May 15, 2009.

After this date the group rate may not be available.

Getting to Washington, DC

The following three airports serve the Washington area.

Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) - DCA offers a full range of domestic flights. Taxi fare for the 15-minute ride to downtown Washington is approximately $15-18.

Dulles International Airport (IAD) - IAD is located 26 miles west of Washington and offers a full range of domestic flights. Taxi fare for the 45-minute ride to downtown Washington is approximately $60.

Baltimore Washington International Airport (BWI) - BWI is located 30 miles north of Washington and offers a full range of domestic flights. Taxi fare for the 60-minute ride to downtown Washington is approximately $75.
