Brevard Community College is the "higher learning choice" of more than 25,000 students each year. Its diverse student body is comprised of high school graduates, business professionals, retirees, and people who are university-bound, seeking new career paths, or simply following a love for learning.

BCC employs nearly 2,300 faculty and staff members at campuses located in the suburban municipalities of Cocoa, Melbourne, Titusville and Palm Bay. Among the college’s highlights are the BCC Aerospace Program at Kennedy Space Center, a Health Sciences Campus, and an online Virtual Campus. The college generates more than $100 million a year, which is pumped into the local economy through the institution’s expenditures.

BCC serves nearly half of the county's residents with educational programs and cultural, sporting, and entertainment events.

An accredited institution, BCC is recognized as one of America's leading community colleges for quality instruction, organization, and innovative and cutting-edge programs. It is one of the first community colleges in the country to offer the Associate of Arts degree online. The total number of associate degrees earned by BCC students annually falls within the top two percent in the nation.

Economic development activities are strongly supported at BCC and are reflected in partnerships with area businesses through customized training programs and facility-use agreements. The BCC Institute for Business Training and Community Education offers multi-faceted training courses for corporations, including a need assessment, specialized curriculum, and technological training for high-end technology and software skills.

A leader in science and technology, BCC is home to the Astronaut Memorial Planetarium and Observatory, which features one of the largest public-access telescopes in Florida as well as large-format movies, laser light shows, and other educational and entertaining presentations.

The 2+2 program partnership between BCC and the University of Central Florida allows for the seamless transfer of credits from BCC's Associates Program to UCF's Baccalaureate Program. The partnership also involves the sharing of facilities and services with UCF on BCC’s campuses, including the BCC/UCF Joint-Use Library, one of the most technologically advanced learning resource centers in the nation.

The college is committed to engaging our diverse population in quality, and accessible learning opportunities, which successfully meet individual and community needs.

BCC is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (1866 Southern Lane, Decatur, Georgia 30033-4097: Telephone number 404-679-4501) to award the Associate of Arts, Associate of Science, and Associate of Applied Science degrees.
