About Us

Denison University, founded in 1831, is located on a picturesque 1200-acre campus in Granville, Ohio, and is a nationally recognized selective, independent, residential college of liberal arts and sciences for some 2,000 men and women undergraduates. It is steeped in tradition and focused on the success of its students from some 47 states and 38 countries who can select from more than 43 courses of study and nine pre-professional programs. Denison has an alumni body of 26,000 and an endowment of more than $400 million that places it among the top colleges and universities in the United States. Former Princeton President Bill Bowen, now head of Mellon Foundation, United States Senator Richard Lugar and Walt Disney Co. President/CEO Michael Eisner are among its well-known alumni.

Denison is situated atop a ridge overlooking Granville, a quaint, New England-like village with shopping, restaurants and services conveniently located adjacent to campus. Columbus, Ohio's capital and a metropolitan area with a population of 1.5 million, is just 35 minutes from campus.
