The State University of New York College at Cortland is one of 64 campuses in the statewide system. More than 7,300 students are enrolled in programs leading to bachelor's and master's degrees. The College's three academic divisions - arts and sciences, education and professional studies - include 23 departments offering 58 majors and 38 minors.

Founded in 1868, SUNY Cortland has more than 55,000 alumni living in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and more than 40 foreign countries.

The College's main campus covers 191 acres and is located in the beautiful Finger Lakes region of Central New York, just off Interstate 81, a major north-south highway. With more than 1,000 employees, SUNY Cortland is Cortland County's largest employer. The city of Cortland has 20,000 residents and is the county seat. The community offers a quaint downtown business district and easy access to major cities, cultural activities, ski areas, biking trails, rivers and lakes. Syracuse, Ithaca and Binghamton are within an hour's drive.
