Boston College

Gasson Hall
Boston College, founded in 1863, is one of the oldest Jesuit, Catholic universities in the United States. In the spirit of this heritage, the University seeks to personify its commitment to integrating intellectual and personal formation and to uniting high academic achievement with service to others within our employee community — and within the Greater Boston community of students, alumni and friends. These core values aid us as we seek to shape a new century through knowledge, vision, justice and charity — with a deeply ingrained concern for the human family.

Our enrollment of more than 9,000 undergraduate and 4,700 graduate and professional students represents every state in the Union and nearly 100 countries. We embrace the diversity of our student population and we are deeply committed to ensuring that our 2,300 employees, representing an unusually broad range of talents and experiences, reflect the communities we serve.

In recognition of their dedication and commitment, we offer our employees a rich package of compensation and benefits including tuition remission for employees and their families (determined by length of employment and other related factors), medical and dental insurance, vacation/holidays/sick leave, group life and long-term disability insurance and retirement plans. Furthermore, we maintain a deep commitment to the ongoing career development of our employees through dozens of programs and classes in everything from computer skills to focused workshops. Many other campus groups have been formed to support individual needs such as a Wellness Group to support employees who are affected by cancer and volunteer groups that help in the community through Read Aloud Programs and ESL tutoring programs, to name a few. Community life at Boston College is unusually rich and diverse offering an array of resources from theater, athletics and discussion forums to retreats, seminars and academic programs.

Our beautiful, 116-acre main campus is conveniently situated in an open suburban location just six miles from downtown Boston, with direct access to the city via trolley. We are always looking for motivated, enthusiastic individuals who can identify with our culture and values to join us in the following areas:

  • Administration
  • Advancement
  • Dining Services
  • Facilities Maintenance
  • Finance
  • Information Technology
  • Office and Clerical
  • Public Safety
  • Student Affairs/Services
