To assist the head coach in the administration and operation of the football program consistent with the policies of Miami University, the NCAA, and Mid-American Conference. This position specifically supports the mission of the University and the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics by assisting in institutional compliance with NCAA and Conference rules and regulations. Bachelor's degree in Electronic Media, Broadcasting or related field. Or any combination of education and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities as described. A typical qualifying background would include advanced college level coursework in video production and/or completion of a certificate program in television production from an accredited technical institute. Be familiar with the day-to-day operations of a major football program; Have a strong computer back ground with experience in using database, word processor, design, and other programs used on a daily basis in the football office; Understand and have experience in the video editing and computer analysis systems; Have a firm understanding of NCAA rules. Solid communication skills; Have experience in working with coaches and be sensitive to their needs. Strong background in the preparation of the athletic recruiting weekends; Strong organizational skills. Must be available to work long and odd hours including 12-16 hour days if necessary. Must be available to travel. Should be able to move objects such as: chairs, tables, and office equipment; Must be able to work months without a day off. Must be able to work weekends (about 30 required).
