Registrar
Vision and leadership are at the heart of our tremendous growth and success as one of Kentucky's best values in education, and we're looking for a Registrar who will embrace these ideals and help drive our remarkable institution to even greater heights.
Our suburban campus in the rolling hills of Northern Kentucky is
just 7 miles south of Cincinnati, Ohio. Our nearly 16,000 students
come from 42 states and 92 foreign countries, lending a richness
and diversity to our campus culture. Despite our growth, we
maintain an intimate 17:1 student-to-teacher ratio and an average
class size of 24. The University offers nearly 70 bachelor degree
and 6 associate degree programs in five colleges as well as several
master's degree programs and a law school. Our thriving campus life
includes more than 200 student organizations, plus Division I
athletics.
NKU values excellence, public engagement, multiculturalism,
innovation, and collegiality and strives to create a
learner-centered environment that supports student success. Our new
Registrar will be a key part of that success by driving toward
three main objectives: 1) managing the course registration process;
2) maintaining academic records; and 3) certifying requirements for
graduation. The Registrar is the lead administrator in the
maintenance and enhancement of the University's integrated SAP
Student Life-Cycle Management (SLCM) system, and provides direction
in promoting student retention and progression, formulating
enrollment management policy, and analyzing enrollment trends. The
Registrar reports to the Associate Vice President for Enrollment
Management.
Along with a track record of consistent and outstanding performance
in the student records profession, applicants and nominees must
have a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree plus 7 to 10 years of higher
eduction experience and at least 5 years of related supervisory
experience are required. Master's Degree preferred.
Applicants MUST apply on online at https://jobs.nku.edu.
Review of applications will begin March 1, 2012 and
continue until position is filled. To nominate a candidate contact
Paul Orscheln, Associate Vice President, Enrollment Management by
