Under general supervision, the incumbent will be responsible for facilitating university-wide academic program assessment of student learning outcomes and non-instructional program (i.e., co-curricular programs) assessment of operational outcomes, satisfaction, and (where appropriate) student learning and developmental outcomes. The incumbent will be responsible for designing and managing mechanisms and methodologies for the collection and analysis of data for use in institutional decision-making, planning, and programmatic change in support of those units seeking assistance. The incumbent will provide support to faculty and staff, academic department and program chairs, committees, and units to plan and implement, meaningful academic program-level assessment of student learning outcomes. The incumbent will provide support to faculty in developing or refining student learning outcome descriptions at the course, program and institutional levels, and will provide support to programs seeking assistance in selecting appropriate measures for assessing student learning outcomes (e.g., critical thinking, written communication, etc.). Also, the incumbent will provide support to co-curricular programs and units seeking to develop strategies to foster educational improvement or to enhance institutional effectiveness through the systematic assessment of operational outcomes (e.g., productivity, accuracy, etc.), satisfaction outcomes (e.g., student satisfaction with services), as well as student learning and developmental outcomes (e.g., measures of leadership development, appreciating diversity, etc.). The incumbent will perform other duties as assigned.
