JOB SUMMARY: The Assistant Dean for Teacher Education reports to the Dean of Social Science & Human Services and oversees undergraduate programs at the College. The Assistant Dean provides leadership by working in collaboration with faculty and articulates and effectively communicates a vision of teacher education, develops programs, monitors and assures program accreditation, recruits and monitors students, develops a network of school partners and represents the program to internal and external audiences.
REQUIREMENTS: Requirements include a Ph.D or Ed.D in education or related field, knowledge of and experience with TEAC accreditation and NJ law or its equivalent from another state, strong organizational leadership, communication and collaboration skills, a record of scholarship, experience in Pre K-12 schools and college education. Knowledge of and experience with grant writing desired.
