ASSOCIATE DEAN
PANUSKA COLLEGE OF PROFESSIONAL STUDIES
Reporting directly to and working closely with the Dean of
Panuska College of Professional Studies (PCPS), the Associate Dean
oversees and coordinates undergraduate and graduate curriculum
issues within the College and chairs committees within PCPS, e.g.
Edward R. Leahy, Jr. Faculty Research Committee, PCPS Field
Coordinators Committee, Service Learning Planning Committee.
The Associate Dean assists the Dean with the general administration
responsibilities in managing the general affairs of PCPS.
Responsibilities will be related to selected areas of
administration such as: administering service learning and faculty
mentoring programs, managing the faculty payroll and monitoring
faculty workloads, coordinating the development of the University
catalog both undergraduate and graduate programs, reviewing the
PCPS advertising fact sheets, reviewing part time faculty hiring
applications, and serving as the PCPS representative to various
University committees. Additional responsibilities will be assigned
based on background and experience.
The Associate Dean builds and strengthens team efforts by taking
ownership for completing new and different work requirements that
add value to the Panuska College of Professional Studies. Qualified
candidates must possess an earned doctorate in one of the
disciplines of the Panuska College of Professional Studies with a
minimum of three years experience as a full-time practitioner in
higher education including prior university-level teaching
experience.
