Assistant Research
Professor
HIV/AIDS Epidemiology
The Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics of the GWU
School of Public Health and Health Services is
recruiting for a dynamic, full-time faculty member at the rank of
Assistant Research Professor. Responsibilities for the successful
applicant will include working in collaboration with the District
of Columbia Department of Health on a series of HIV/ AIDS
epidemiology and surveillance projects, and contributing to the
educational mission of the Department through the teaching and
mentoring of graduate students.
Required Qualifications:
* Doctoral degree in epidemiology or in medicine with advanced
training and experience in epidemiology
* Track record of peer-reviewed publications
* Experience working in HIV/AIDS epidemiology or surveillance
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience teaching and mentoring graduate students in
Epidemiology
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Experience working with local or state health departments
