ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR OF RESEARCH, MEASUREMENT, AND STATISTICS
Texas A&M University's
Department of Educational Psychology in the College of Education
and Human Development seeks an Associate Professor of Educational
Psychology with expertise associated with the Research,
Measurement, and Statistics specialty in the Learning Sciences
program.
Qualifications: The successful candidate will
possess 1. An earned doctorate in Educational Psychology,
Psychology, or other social science-related field with a major
emphasis and doctoral training in social science quantitative
methods. 2. Professional experience at the assistant or associate
professor level at a research extensive university in an area
focusing on quantitative research methods and a record of teaching,
research, and professional experience that merits tenure at the
rank of Associate Professor at a research extensive university. 3.
Published works indicating expertise in an area such as Bayesian
modeling, sampling and survey research, propensity analysis,
longitudinal modeling, or other advanced topic. 4. Proficiency in
experimental and quasi-experimental design, especially with large
externally funded grant proposal generation and work with large
funded projects.
Expectations: Academic roles and responsibilities
for this position will include advising and mentoring doctoral
students in the program, teaching graduate level courses in
experimental design and advanced quantitative areas of expertise,
conduct research relevant to the Research, Measurement, and
Statistics degree emphasis area, provide proposal expertise on
methodology to College researchers, and assume other duties typical
for a research-extensive AAU university such as Texas
A&M.

least three professional reference letters are required and may be

Appointment: This is a nine month appointment with
an anticipated start date of September 1, 2012.
Salary is commensurate with qualifications and includes an
excellent startup/transition package.
