Assistant Professor History of Early Christianity
Perkins School of Theology,
Southern Methodist University, seeks a faculty member in the
History of Christianity, with particular attention to the history,
theologies, and literature of post-New Testament early
Christianity.
This is a full-time, tenure eligible position at junior rank. The
appointee will teach in degree programs of Perkins and in the M.A.
and Ph.D. curricula of the Graduate Program in Religious Studies of
Dedman College.
Essential qualifications include: a Ph.D. or
equivalent degree; scholarly competence in both the Greek and the
Latin traditions of early Christianity; and the readiness and
ability to relate the study of the history of Christianity to
preparation for church leadership. Position begins fall 2012.
