Sycamore: A Journal of American Culture

The audience for the scholarly writings of graduate students is typically limited to professors and fellow students. Usually at the end of the year, graduate students hang on to their papers, but no one else does.

Now, however, a group of doctoral students in American studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill has created a new place for the writings of their peers: a peer-reviewed, quarterly journal on the World-Wide Web called Sycamore.
