A Digest of Recent Corporate News in Distance Education By BROCK READ The Community College of Denver has contracted with Eduprise to coordinate the expansion of its e-learning offerings. The college expects rapid growth of its distance-education program within three years. (Link to press release.) GP e-Learning Technologies will upgrade and expand the Virtual College at New York University's School of Continuing and Professional Studies, adding file-sharing, discussion, and chat services. (Link to press release.) Meanwhile, the university's Virtual College program will employ Centra to oversee live communications and instructor-led courses. (Link to press release.) The University of California at Irvine's extension program has teamed up with the National Investor Relations Institute to plan two new online courses for the fall.
