Second syllabus is done and sent! Next is exam for Class 2, and I want to do Part A before I come back.

Crumpet, enjoy!

Can I write retroactively for this week, so that I have something to cross off?

Today I managed to:
finish the dissertation rewrite for publication (but not the new formatting)
mail off the invitations for the club for which I am sponsor
photocopy and send to various deans the plagiarism report for a student

What else I need to do:
figure out and configure the diss rewrite for the required format
create three syllabi: Freshman b, Advanced intro 4, and writing 3
read several books
write a grant
pick up dry cleaning
pack for trip that we are leaving on tomorrow if we don't get snowed in

I'm on fire today! I marked Part A and Part B, and I set up the short papers. I am going to make dinner and then get back to it. I really, really don't want to carry this stuff over into the new term.

Compdoc, cross away.

Confused and sad. Or happy. I'm not sure...

You'll all making me look as lazy as I really am this week. Stop it!!!!!

I got all must-dos for last term done. But prep for the new term that starts Jan 4th? Why do it now when you can put it off until later?

Today:

--Buy ink for the printer so I can finish printing Christmas newsletters. Of COURSE the ink cartridge ran out last night... on both printers. Sigh.
--Stop by P.O. to drop off what is ready right now. At least those will be postmarked on time.
--Take Bioette shopping for family since the school PTO didn't have a holiday shop this year. Sigh.
--Bake cookies to apply to my thighs. Santa requires homemade cookies, according to Bioette.
--Go shopping alone to help Bioson purchase stuff for his sister even though he's still sick (but finally turned the corner). And Santa forgot to purchase stuff for the biopets. Bad Santa!
--Pick up the "outside your bedroom door" gifts from Santa to keep the kids contained between the time they wake up and the time Biodad and I decree it is permissible to wake us.
--Cut Bioson's hair.
--Get Bioette and self haircuts (did that last night)
--Organize Bioson's makeup work for school and get him cracking on it.

What I should also do (and must do by Jan 4th):
--Letters of Recommendation
--2 syllabi (Moodymoodle, you're so good at this I think you should do mine, too.)
--3 CMS websites
--Prep Turnitin and textbook website
--Get permission for case studies

What I want to do:
Crawl back into bed and read.

Bioteacher, if I knew anything beyond biology for non-majors, I'd do it... next week.

I am tired, the kids are both feverish, and even though I haven't finished two of my three courses, I'm officially declaring myself on vacation until December 29. I marked the short papers and did the final marks for Class 2, and I only have the final exams left for Class 3. Class 1 has the most work, but the fewest students, so despite my dislike for carrying things over, I'm going to do it.

Good luck, Bioteacher. I have to finish sorting and wrapping gifts, and I'm making three big meals in three days, but no more work work.

Keep it up, Crumpet!

Crumpet, while it is great you have put a massage on your list, that is just the first step. You need to pick up the phone and make the appointment for the massage to do you any good!

Today:
--Buy ink for the printer so I can finish printing Christmas newsletters.
--Stop by P.O. to drop off what is ready right now. At least those will be postmarked on time.

Moodymoodle, I'm sorry your kids are sick. That stinks! An official vacation is definitely the best remedy. I always try to get stuff done ahead of break, but I didn't get it done this year and will have to block off some work-free days for myself, too.

Still left to do:

--Print remaining Christmas cards and put them in the outgoing mail in progress
-
-Bake cookies to apply to my thighs (I'll do this with Bioette tomorrow).
--Wrap the few remaining items and stocking stuffers
--Change my bed

Then I'm going to ignore the rest and go read.

What I should also do (and must do by Jan 4th):
--Letters of Recommendation
--2 syllabi (Moodymoodle, you're so good at this I think you should do mine, too.)
--3 CMS websites

Thanks for calling me out Bioteacher...I have vowed to be more proactive about my massage. I tend to be very lazy about self care and indulgence.

Glug, I'm really feeling exhausted after serious work over the past few months. I'm rather terrified of returning to teaching next term...I don't wanna!

Tasks:
-Clean out e-mail inboxes. In progress.
-Reading/note-taking
-Rework final section of book MS. In progress.
-Renew driving license.
-Schedule massage (glad I finally got this on my list!)
-Review contribution to volume. In progress.
-Sabbatical report.
-Mail contract.

Merry Christmas, sprinters! I'm in a post-meat-pie holiday coma, and enjoying the Christmas carols and the sounds of the boys playing with their gifts from each other (One of two gifts they open Christmas Eve, the other being their yearly pyjama gift).

Peace and love to you all!

I got everything above done and it's only 10:30! Santa has to write his notes to the Biokids and then he can come. Of course, Bioette is still awake. She's too excited to sleep.
