You're getting there, Lohai0.

I just spent a half-hour on a task that I should've done by Monday but forgot all about. At least it's done. I still have that exam looming, but I need to get out of the office for a while, I think. Off to the gym. Maybe when I get back I'll have the energy to do it.

Keep it up, folks!

I am almost up to the point where I, who ought to have a PhD soon, will have to use a freaking gluestick.

1. Get dressed. Buy freaking posterboard. Go to school.
2. Make a poster for stupid show and tell final for Fake Class.
3. A Finito thing
4. Deal with the stupid student that missed the final.
5. Yoga

My glue stick skills have clearly atrophied since kindergarten. I am so getting a bad grade on this thing.

I have a Ph.D., and I still occasionally use a glue stick. Just sayin'

I'm going home, and hope to try to cross off some more of the list there. We'll see.

Work on, and hopefully submit, Mystery Project
Edit final exam for tomorrow - Done.
Write final exam for Friday -- Started.
See if there's any chance to submit a conference proposal by Saturday (unlikely, but maybe I can half-a$$ something from the article I used to be working on. Definitely not the project I was hoping to have ready for this.)
Exercise
Laundry?
(Adding:) Miscellaneous BS things. -- Did a few of these. They don't seem to end. Grr.

Keep up the good work, all.

Confused and sad. Or happy. I'm not sure...

Essay #1 on 70 exams is done. My eyes are soggy. (I also learned that inflammation of the kidneys causes bloody sputum, constipation, and a skin infection).

Essays 2 & 3, + short answers 1 & 2 still await. I wonder what interesting things I'll learn?

I've been too swamped at work to check in to this (or really any other!) thread for a while. Friday was our last day of term and I'm getting out of town later today. Yeah!

Anyway, here is my new vacation list:

Vacation List
Edit new article - Due end of December
Read background book
Website stuff
Plane tickets
Visa application
Write a bit on new research area article
Haircut!!

I think that's it for now...I'm sure there is more lurking somewhere!

I've also been swamped. Here are my goals for "break"

1. New prep
2. Other new prep
3. 2-3 Finito tasks if I don't get conference interviews, 4-5 if I do
4. Cut and color if I get conference interviews
5. At least one article back out
6. At least one article nearly ready to go back out
7. Tribal paperwork notarized and sent back out
8. Start training again, subbing hot yoga for swimming
9. Deal with interview suits if I get conference interviews
10. Start looking for dissertation fellowships
11. Start looking at literature, see if either of my new preps could turn into data for something interesting
12. Stupid surgical diagnostic test for celiac on the 17th
13. Giant conference at the end of break
14. Go to phone store and change data plan. Check for free phone upgrade

Me too. I'm still grading. Coming to the end, though I've put off the worst for last. Must be done by 4 today, but I can only read a few of these papers at a time. So I'm checking in here for motivation.

Three down, six to go,
plus calculating for this and one more class,
plus the actual data entry.

Good luck Crumpet and Lohai0. Everybody else, I hope you're OK!

I'm also approaching the home stretch.  I have grad grades due today, undergrad tomorrow. Happily, I've finished one set of the UG grades.  That was before I learned that the grad and UG grades had different deadlines.

Anyway, here's what I have to get done in the next 6 hours:

Grade exam part 1
Grade exam part 2
Tally exam grades
Grade presentations
Finish grading papers
Do some final double-checking of things
Calculate final grades
Submit final grades

There are some other things that really need my attention today too, but everything else is on hold until after I finish the above.

And I'm off ...

Good luck, Odessa!

Three five down, six four to go,
plus calculating for this and one more class,
plus the actual data entry.

Keep it up!

Three five six seven down, six four three two to go,
plus calculating for this and one more class,
plus the actual data entry.
Ugh.

Ugh again. I'll try to force myself to do the remaining two without checking in between. We'll see.

Hope you all are doing well!

Grade exam part 1
Grade exam part 2
Tally exam grades
Grade presentations
Finish grading papers
Do some final double-checking of things
Calculate final grades  <-- some effort here such as tidying my excel spreadsheet
Submit final grades

Reporting in with progress!  I'm going to have to speed it up a bit, though.

FTF, if you need to check in between segments, that's fine.  That's part of the purpose of the thread.

Yay, for you, FTF!  I'm jealous.  At the rate I am going, I will be leaving town with a whole bunch of stuff left undone.  However, grades must be in.
