Hi moodymoodie! Nice progress, crumpet - you're almost there! Last time I looked you had a lot more than 20 left.

I survived the dentist.  It's dreary and rainy, so I think I'm going to browse the fora for 5 more minutes, pick up the house for 15, and then take myself to lunch for some comfort food.  Marigolds' hamburgers on the dinner thread last night made me want one.

My uploads are done, I have fooled around on the fora and on FB, and I am going to have lunch. After lunch, I am going to read at least fifty pages of The Letters of E.

I'm editing that paper. At least another 30 min if not another hour.

You have been killing it the past few days, crumpet! Go you! (I expect to see you on PWP this evening, I say sternly.)

Still working on this paper. Math people write weird.  "Similar to the previous case, in this equation we do X."  STOP THAT.  I know math people think "similar to..." is OK, but it's not. I think here it's both a dangling modifier phrase AND use of an adjective where there should be an adverb.  ("Similarly to the previous case, we do X" is almost as bad though.)

Enjoy your wine, crumpet - you deserve a night (or a week) off!  And have a good walk, marigolds.  We have dreary rain today.

I'm going to bake chocolate cupcakes with butter frosting now, if anybody needs one.

Confused and sad. Or happy. I'm not sure...

Yum! I picked the right time to swing by, didn't I?

I have graded some papers! I'm about 1/3 done. Yes, I'm gettting an A+ in procrastination (unlike Crumpet), but at least I finally got some of them done.

--grade papers in progress
--calculate W grades.
--email sent to plagiarist
--assign fall UTAs
--Record all grades <--easy, "fun" part when I finally get there.

--Massage. Desperately Need Massage.
--think about summer session syllabi LATER.

Good morning! Mmm, cupcakes. It's not even 8:30 yet, but one of those would go really well with my tea, I think.

I read my 50 pages yesterday and today I am going to finish this book. I'm feeling much better so I'll probably do some marking tomorrow.

Go, bioteacher!

Good morning! Am I allowed to have cupcakes for breakfast?

I have a big data collection survey to beta test today (probably 4 hours worth), so I'll be checking in periodically.  Good luck sprinters!

Cupcakes are appropriate any time of the day or night. May I have one, Moodymoodie?

You all are doing amazing things. (Crumpet, as usual, is just making me dizzy running circles around me.)

I am going to change my bed and finish grading these papers. I'm going to schedule a massage and see if I can get final grades in. I'd like to make the UTA assignments, too.

And if I manage all of that, I might splurge on a lottery ticket, lose 40 lbs, and get my sleep schedule back on track...

Okay, first up: evict Biodog from the bed so I can change the sheets.

Done with my beta-testing work. Emailed my external committee member to let him know I'm still alive.

Now I'm going to go read my fabulously interesting work-related book and take notes on it.  (How sad is it that that feels like a luxury? I had just gotten immersed in it when I had to stop and do interview prep/talk writing, and then do final grades. So I've been away from it for 2 weeks!)

I'm going to grade a paper and hopefully be done with it in 15 minutes or less.

Two papers are done. I have three left.
Lunch and then another sprint. I can do this!
