Congratulations! I do remember your posting history -- sad and defeated. It's great to see you come out the other side as a winner!

Congratulations!  This is wonderful news!

I just printed the "sh!tty first draft" of my first novel, and only now realize how bad it is, and how much more work it needs.

Your "how to" post is great!

Thanks for the "how-to" post, Airball!  The whole process of going from scribbled notes to full-fledged book contract has always been mysterious to me--not that I'm writing a novel or anything.  Just one of life's little curiosities, I guess.

Thanks MH. Yep, there were some dark days there, and it is a great feeling to find peace.

Again - you're so inspiring, Samball! (My new moniker for you, hope you like it.) I really appreciated your how-to as well, especially about the query letter and the feedback you got. Now I'm actually thinking about giving this a whirl!

Welcome back and many congrats, Airball!  I've certainly contemplated trying to write fiction, and your "how-to" is helpful and inspirational.

I hope you sell many copies - will you do any readings or events?

I, too, hope you come my way on your book tour.  Have ordered the book.

Thanks, everyone!

Right now my "tour" is limited to the Cleveland, Columbus, Dayton area.

At the risk of further enraging the anti-spam folks/mods, you can get updates on my FB page. (Yes, every author needs one!) https://www.facebook.com/SThomasBooks

Getting nervous already!
