Does anyone have any information on the current situation at the University of New Orleans?

Like other schools in NO, UNO is hiring again. Faculty who couldn't find jobs somewhere else have returned. Good faculty who could find jobs somewhere else have left.

DrWho-

The previous posts is unfair. I know many wonderful professors and instructors who could get jobs at other places but chose to stay at UNO.

Ditto to newtrack--UNO is coming back, and, indeed, is doing some really innovative stuff in a wide range of fields. And I think that, in some ways, UNO is more conscious of its role in the community than Tulane. I am impressed with what I see at UNO.

Umm, not as the OP defined it, no.

UNO means United Nations Organization, and now it is known as the UN or United Nations.
