{Hugs} and condolences to Zombie_Librarian.  I'm sorry for your loss, and I hope that all goes smoothly with the funeral arrangements.

{Hugs} and strength to SeventhYear, Bama_Belle, and anyone else whose SO is (temporarily or otherwise) being an asshat.

Chaos, I also keep my meds in one of those 7-well containers with the days marked.

Good thoughts to all here.

SeventhYear, how you've hung in this long in the face of that girl's idiocy, I cannot fathom.  Hugs to you, a swift kick to stepdaughter's butt, and a cluebat up the side of your SO's head.

Hugs to all who need them!

Just be glad you can't get a real hug from me. I was diagnosed with bronchitis and a sinus infection yesterday. Since I didn't feel bad, just didn't have a voice, up to that point, I was very surprised. The illness really hit after that. I've been up to watch the Derby and eat dinner. I think the bed is calling me again.

This was NOT how I planned to spend my weekend...

Oh gods.  Disaster thesis writing grad student is coming back to the lab for a month to do a handful more experiments the thesis needs.

I am exhausted at the thought of being in a room with her again.  She's fine to socialise with and I do like her, but in the lab she's like a concussed, hyperactive kitten.  And she uses ALL the benches and reserves ALL the equipment, even if she never quite gets round to actually doing any work until after 8pm.

If she touches my Sharpies I might snap.

Also: why couldn't this have happened while I was convalescing?  Sigh.

These are regular old text documents, MS Word, not even any color, let alone graphics or fancy schtuff.  So WHY is the printer taking forever to chug out each page?  A tiny monk in there, making illuminated MS, would be faster. And at least the pages would be pretty when they come out.

First World problem, I know.

Y'all keep posting shoes that are the kinds of shoes one marries.

I want shoe porn.  I want beautiful, hot shoes--the kind where you have to sit or stand still, and have to take them off after you get drunk enough because your feet start to hurt.

I want spiked fetish ankle-strap McQueens, dammit.  And you people give me Danskos.

I've got a whole closet full of those shoes, marigolds. The type of shoes you see and think: "I am not sure I could keep up with her in bed...in fact, I am pretty sure that she is comfortable with things I've only dreamed about."

Yep. A whole closet.

Alzheimer's sucks.

I'm sorry, mystic.

My vent is not a serious one. I mailed my credit card bill without the check. I'll mail the check tomorrow and all will be well with that, but I have very few brain farts like that with bills. Grump.
