Nipissing University and North Bay

Hi all,
I have a phone interview for a job at Nipissing U. coming up and was wondering if anyone had any thoughts/experience on the university, as a place to work. Research/teaching expectations, students or any other insight.
Also I would love any insight anyone might have on what it is like living in North Bay. I've only ever been there once and it was while driving through.
Thanks
L.

I've liked everything I've ever heard about the place, and even applied for a job there once (but didn't get it). It's very small, about 5000 students, in a small city. So you may not get all of the cultural and cultural amenities you want, but the landscape is beautiful and there's great cross-country skiing.
Their president has just stepped down "for personal reasons", and the VP-Finance put in as temporary president, so obviously there's some turmoil at the top.

Most of what I've heard about it makes it sound quite nice too, which is part of the reason I applied for the job.
I'm more of a small city person so the lack of cultural amenities isn't a huge concern. Besides I figure I could always do the odd weekend trip to Toronto if I wanted some time in the big city.
I suppose I'll find out more about the place during my phone interview and hopefully it goes well enough that they'll fly me out so I can form an opinion on North Bay.
