A fan of Harold, that most dangerous of all sheep

Well, it seems my beloved better-half has found more-than-gainful employ in Austin.  Time to move and leave behind my two-year stint teaching at the secondary level.  While I've enjoyed full-time pay and benefits, I may just return to the adjunct/lecturer pool.  Do any of you worthy forumites know anything about "adjuncting" in the Austin area?  I have a PhD and my area of speacialization is 19th & 20th century American Lit.  I've taught at the university level for one year (Lecturer in Intro to Humanities) and for ten years at the CC level (composition and lit surveys in both American and World litertaure).  Thanks for any input.

Try Austin Community College.  And congrats! Great place to live. If you love music and the outdoors it is the place to be.

Thanks--love both very much--I don't even mind heat and humidity anymore.

But not Austin College, which is in Sherman (a long commute even by Texas standards).

I am currently an adjunct at ACC. It has been good teaching experience but I fell into the job right after graduation and know nothing beyond my experience as an engineering adjunct.
