Can anyone recommend  online sites where I can find  postings of teaching jobs available in the UK?

Actually, it does depend. Primary and secondary school jobs and most FE jobs are not advertized in the Times Higher Education Supplement or on jobs.ac.uk, nor are TESOL or other non-university teaching jobs. (And before you jump all over me, we do get posters asking about those jobs sometimes.)

However, qyrpt is actually correct to ask what type of teaching (on preview exactly scotia!). If by teaching the OP means school or further education teaching then they would be much better placed looking at http://www.tes.co.uk.
OP you also need to be aware that if you do not have the right at present to work in the UK, then the likelihood of getting a work permit varies a lot for different types / levels of teaching jobs. Roughly with a permanent university job it is not much of a problem (part-time or temporary is more tricky), but for the equivalent of high school or community college teaching it is really difficult under the new immigration rules.
