Immigrant Candidates

Does anyone have familiarity with the interview process for candidates who are coming from either Korea or South America? How do green cards figure into the process of a tt job offer? Is there any consensus on what universities should be doing, or actually do, to facilitate the immigration process should a foreign national be offered, and accept, a position?

We have never had a problem hiring someone from another part of the world, including South Korea or South America, for a tt position. I am in the U.S.
