Is there anybody who can tell me about the Economics PhD from Jackson State University? Namely, I'm interested in what average stats are for admitted students, attrition rate, etc. A bonus would be if anyone has any info about coursework and general nature of the program.

Thanks

You can get info about coursework and placement from the department, itself.

About the strength of the program, it really depends on why you want a PhD in economics.  Research vs. teaching vs. public service vs. consulting vs. working in business (or finance).  If you want to work in higher ed, do you want to teach in an economics department?  In a business program?  In an AACSB business program?

Some schools do a better job placing grads in one area vs. another.
