Dear all:

I conducted quite a few phone interviews (>5).  But I did not hear anything from most of them except one campus visiting done.  I believe I did pretty well in most of them. I wonder what happened to these phone interviews? Some people said  SC just called top 10-15 ranked people and then only picked their original top-three (this means I was not ranked among their top three)?    If so, why bother calling the other candidates?   Really need your kind input to this issue...

The phone interview helped the committe decide who the top three were.

Yes. 

Don't believe the paranoids who tell you anything the SC does without actually being on the SC.  And even then, I don't believe it.
