I'm not sure where to put this, but I thought this was closest.  A student asked me today about an internship for Proworld.  They require a fee of $2,400 - for housing I think - which seems a bit unusual.  The website looks good, but I thought I'd check to see if anyone here has had a student intern with them.  Here's the link to their website:

Hi there! My name is Teresa. I'm a Program Advisor for ProWorld. I live on site here in Oaxaca, Mexico and I was a volunteer coordinator last summer in Urubamba, Peru. Our program fees do include housing (with a local home-stay in all countries except Nepal) and much more including health and travel insurance, 3 meals a day, a direct donation to the NGO, school, or community organization that the participant interns for, weekly check ins with our site staff, as well as access to our office and excursions on the weekends.
