Ambien sounds intriguing. I keep thinking of early reports of side effects like sleepwalking, then having no recollection of the sleepwalking. Has that happened to any of you who use Ambien?
I don't sleepwalk on it, but I have to be OFF THE COMPUTER when I take it or I do craaaaaazy things. I've made some questionable late-night posts here, and on Facebook, and on other sites, and once bought a huge box of used romance novels on ebay (I don't even read romance novels).
I have a good friend who sleep-eats on it, which is another pretty common side effect. He wakes up covered in peanut butter; his wife finds the refrigerator open in the middle of the night. He once ate an entire loaf of bread in his sleep.
It doesn't cause him too much harm (he's got a great metabolism) and it makes for hilarious stories, so I hope he stays on it.
Spectacle, indeed! I bought a pair of shoes one night on Ambien. I woke up the next day and had an order confirmation. Fortunately I wanted them, but I accidentally sent them to a friend's because I had ordered from the shop before and sent it to her house, so I had a couple days or playing shuffle the shoes. That's when I learned the computer lesson. Other than not doing anything that requires brain power after I take it, it works great for me. No weird sleepwalking/eating episodes.
I have trazadone on the way to see if I can mix/adjust etc. I don't enjoy alcohol so haven't tried that. Like a previous poster, I do best with a 2-4 to 10-12 sleep schedule as well, which is hard when teaching 8 a.m. classes right now. I'm working on that!
