Dr. Pollinate, how can you expect us to remember the difference? Both words start with "m", end in "-osis" and they aren't even English words. Can't we just call them something we can remember like George and Bob? |

Unfortunately, it probably wouldn't for the student who told me that "meiosis produces diploid cells" or for the one who said that it "is not a sexual life cycle; it's asexual . . . gametes are involved in mitosis, which is sexual". < bang! Bang! BANG!> You know, I'll feel much so better once I stop banging my head, record the grades and (hopefully) never have to look at those papers again! |
