I am new PhD graduate from the UK and currently actively Looking for a Post/doc or Teaching at American University of Sharjah...

Any advice on the American University of Sharjah experince? opportunities?

or in any other university in the Middle east especially UAE.

Hi Samsoum, (and readers!)

American University of Sharjah seems like a wonderful academic institution to be at in the UAE.
It is slowly claiming international reputation and has very good academic standards compared to the rest of the region.

I have interviewed for one position via Skype with the search committee a few weeks ago but did not get any feedback so far.

I was wondering if anyone else can share their experience from that point forward or their experience as a faculty member at AUS.
