In the wake of the problems with the ultra-orthodox sects in Israel, we now have a Christian contribution at the Church of the Nativity:

I guess the Sermon on the Mount doesn't apply to those %$@^& heretics!

Though it's really rather sad and disillusioning.

What part of the Sermon on the Mount are you referring to?

Maybe "Whoever is angry with his brother shall be liable to judgment?"  Catholics interpret this verse as being specifically directed toward clergy.

"Blessed are the peacemakers : for they shall be called sons of God. "

They've been sharing this space for centuries.  I would like to find out what lead to the melee this year.

I am pretty sure peacemakers can be daughters of God.  At a minimum children of God, but what have you.

This particular argument seems to have been sparked by who was responsible for fixing/cleanup a roof leak.  In any case the image of these guys hitting each other with brooms, if I heard correctly, marks them clearly as children of God.
