Hi all,
I recently was offered an emergency visiting professor job at a DeVry campus in the Pacific Northwest. I would teach two sections of literature courses for non-majors; while its not my dream temporary position, I'm reasonably happy and everyone there seems great and I'd like to take it if I can survive on the salary--which I didn't get a chance to ask in the phone call I received the offer in.
Unfortunately, my answer is due tomorrow and no one seems to be in the office today. Do any of y'all have any idea how much a visiting professor at DeVry makes per class? Any advice would be greatly appreciated
Not sure you can respond to an offer without a number, unless you say, "Yes, contingent on salary." After all, PT at a for profit, the question is less "can you afford to live on it, than "can you live without it."
