Just need to vent
«

I already went for a run today but I am preparing for my first interview next week and my anxiety is through the roof. I am only partially done with a research presentation right now, still need to put together my teaching lesson, find my clothes to pack, put together a binder with syllabi, questions to ask etc.
Oh yeah and take care of my 2yr old daughter, finish grading for the semester, attend two meetings next week before I go, and my husband is working half of the weekend.
It's ALMOST becoming paralyzing at this point which is no bueno!

Close your eyes and breathe for a minute. It helps.
You're going to be fine.

I agree with the deep breathing for a minute--it definitely helps. You'll do great! And it's only Thursday...you still have lots of time to do everything that you need to do. Best of luck!

I know you're just venting, but I just thought I'd offer this based on recent experience:
Triage. Figure out what can wait until you get back from your interview. Figure out what can be delegated to other people (can a parent or friend watch the kiddo for a few hours this weekend?). Figure out what can be half-assed. Then concentrate on what's important, what needs to be done right now.
Don't give into the temptation to martyr yourself. Treat yourself well. Get some sleep. Keep enjoying those runs. Do whatever you have to in order to stay sane. Buy your favorite coffee drink. Get the spousal unit to pick up dinner.
Everything will be right where you left it when you get home from your interview. You got that interview for a reason. They like you already. You're going to be fine.

^ Great advice lasquires. Delegating some tasks to the hubby and having my mom help watch BrownEyedBaby for a bit this weekend.
Triage it is!
