Hello there, I am planning to enroll at Portland State University (PSU) as a Jazz Studies graduate student in guitar performance. I have a bachelors degree, but it is not in music, so I'll have some undergraduate credits to make up. I'm wondering if anyone is familiar with a music/guitar scholarship I may be a good candidate for, considering my current position.

Well, I imagine it would be audition-based.  If you are able to impress the music faculty (they usually have auditions prior to each semester) they might offer you something right on the spot.

Though most of them, granted, are trying to get you to enroll and pay tuition, like say they might offer you a few hundred dollars, which is a drop in the bucket compared to what the program might cost.  I know Berklee has scholarships, but again same story.

When I auditioned at a local community college, they offered me a scholarship right on the spot, but what it amounted to was more like a discount.

Alternately, if your academics are good AND you qualify for need-based financial aid, the school, state, or fed might have programs to sponsor you with through the school, that way I'd say make sure to fill out your FAFSA also.
