Hello all,

New to the fora, but have been scouring it for months now. I recently applied to a TT job that has a particular sub-field interest.  Since the deadline, I have been offered a lecture series (I am currently a post-doc at a top tier school who does mostly research but some lecturing) that directly relates to the sub-field they are interested in.

Do I annoy the SC and send in an updated cv? I know this has been addressed for publications- but would this warrant an email? I think I am generally a strong candidate so it might not be that useful.

Also, I noticed that they visited my website- according to their IP address. They didn't click around- only the home page. Good or bad?

Who's the sponsor?  The American Association of Basketweaving?  Yes.  Your Friend Phil's Intro to Basketweaving course at Fly-over U?  No.

Your professors were probably afraid of your galactic genius and did everything they could (behind the scenes) to thwart your hedginess.

Sorry- to be clear, the lecture series is at the university.   And, I just received an interview invite a moment ago. Should I reply to the invite with the updated cv or note of the course?

Congrats! I would probably send an updated CV and bring copies to the interview (I have been asked for an updated CV while on campus), but don't make a huge deal of it.
