Transnational Professors can be found for research, scholarship and colleagues.
Can expatriate professors be found via expat websites?

Can expatriate professors be found via expat websites?

Why would you bother with such a thing?  Why wouldn't you simply Google the name of someone who interests you, but is currently abroad to find new contact information?

Or, why wouldn't you do a Google search like "US professors working abroad" or "UK professors working abroad" if you wanted to get a general feel for the issues?

In fact, you could Google something like "can expatriat professors be found via expatriate websites" and turn up useful pages like http://www.transitionsabroad.com/listings/living/resources/online_expatriate_community_discussions_forums_blogs.shtml on how to find expatriates doing specific things via online communities.  Instructions on how to do useful searches are included on that page.

If you haven't got either the anatomical or metaphorical balls to post your own question on a pseudonymous internet forum, then academia is the wrong job for you.

A group of us are beginning to do research on expatriate professors lives: sorry in my haste I didn't mention.
Also will study the phenomenon of the transnational professor.

Thanks for replies!

Best place to look is on Working Abroad forum in this very venue. Depending on what you are asking, many of us would be happy to share.
