How long do you keep grade change forms?

Our university has grade change forms going back to the beginning of time. We are in the process of scanning them all --- however, I'm wondering if other schools out there are even keeping the old ones. Further to the point, what federal/state laws govern the retention of these documents at your school?
To me, a student launching a grade dispute over a class that happened in the 1970s is moot to begin with since most schools (my school included) have a policy that precludes grade changes from happening 90 days to a year after a semester.

FERPA requires institutions to have a records retention schedule specifying how long paper records are kept. Consult the registrar or legal counsel or archivist to get a copy.
