I'd like to meet Susan Baker. Yay! More people who love the later Anne books. I'd love to sit on the porch with you and listen to Miss Cornelia and Susan go at it. One of my favorite images was of Gilbert lying on the sofa just inside so that he could listen to Miss Cornelia criticize all the local menfolk. Me too. Bad man :) I'd love to have Anne, Miss Cornelia, Marilla, and Mrs. Rachel. Of course, we know Mrs. Rachel and Miss Cornelia wouldn't set horses. I'd also love Miss Lavendar from Anne of Avonlea. Jane from Jane of Lantern Hill would have to cook us a cake! And let's not forget a place for Aunt Becky from A Tangled Web, if we can stand it. |
