I used the "report to mods" link from the last message on the original thread to complain about how stupid it was to move it. Is that now the designated Current Natural Disasters board? If my town has a tornado or if people are dealing with flooding or an earthquake, is it supposed to be posted about there? What foolishness.
Some CHE forum moderator really should merge the posts from the original Irene thread to the front of the thread currently in Meet and Greet and leave the resulting complete discussion in Meet and Greet until its done. Then move it to the Disasters board if you're suddenly inclined to try to neaten the forum up. That moderator should also apologize.

I suggested the Katrina thread because Katrina was so major and so many posts were about it *at that time*. There were also people looking for people on that thread, but that was an exceptional hurricane. But no one has paid any attention to that thread for years.
