I just saw this thread, and I have a contribution!
Jean Anderson '33 and Anne Cleveland '37, Vassar alumnae.

A Vassar alumna blogs about Cleveland, and includes lots of examples of her work:

I have two little books by Anderson and Cleveland called
Vassar: A Second Glance
, and
Everything Correlates
, and they're marvelous.

Does anyone know of any great comics, graphic novels, or manga that involve characters, settings or narratives related to higher ed? I've started to do some looking myself but as this isn't a body of work I'm at all familiar with I would very much appreciate any suggestions to get me started.
Thanks,

I like PhD Comics. It doesn't have anything to do with higher ed, but I always loved Bloom County. We had a prof in college that used Far Side as a teaching tool. We would use them on overheads (I know, that dates me). It was an introduction into creative thinking.
