Has the Chronicle ever done an article on this? I find it hard to believe that it hasn't been covered.

My search on this website yields very little and I'm trying to find out more about how others have dealt with the ASP process on their campus.

Oh stop.  I just googled this bunch, and I've never read such convoluted gobbledegook in my life.  These knaves show you where to cut based on enrollments, looks like.  Most of them look like they need to hit the gym.

Yes, it may seem ridiculous but my institution is using this process. So it's completely serious and the lack of reporting on it is not helping us to learn more about what to expect.

Two "leadership coaches" in their main group does not bode well.

I would contact faculty at some of the places where they have taken the money and run have consulted (from the Our Clients tab on their website) and ask them what the process was like and how to deal with them.

My own experience with such consultants has been pretty mixed. One good one on assessment, one good one on student recruiting, one really bad one on student recruiting. This bunch doesn't look promising, given that much of their experience is either consulting with or working for corporations.

Further information about Dickeson's company:
http://www.aaup.org/AAUP/pubsres/academe/2006/JA/col/ftgs.htm

"Dickeson is no friend of the professoriate. As University of Northern Colorado’s president, he terminated the appointments of nearly fifty faculty members, an action that resulted in the censure of his administration by the AAUP."

@Fiona:

This thread began because I was looking for articles from the Chronicle that addressed Dickeson's ASP.
I am open to advice about how to migrate the discussion to a more appropriate spot on the fora.
