from what i've been told in talking to various people in the positions that I would like to someday have is that they suggested getting the Masters and that the Masters of Public Policy would work. That it is more just having the graduate degree then, necessarily what it's in to have those higher positions. For the doctoral programs that I've looked --it would require relocation and finding a new job at that university which I'm unable to do at this time. The cost for the Masters of Public Policy is approximate $3600 with my discount as staff. My thinking is that by attaining the MPP it would open those doors alongside my continued experience. Then, if financially able and when I could relocate to another state for another position then, at that time consider the Ed.D. --I've havent' committed either way as I need to first conquer the GRE.
