Recently, I have received an offer from an university (saudi arabia) ( I have only oneweek to accept or to refuse the offer). in the same time i have passed an interview with an other university (saudi arabia) with better benefites. My question is:  should i accept the first offer and when i receive the second one i accept it and denied the first one. but what will be the impact with saudi embassy on getting the visa?
thank you in advance.

You should mention the name of the university. Quality and reputation of the university are important considerations. However, you may gain some time from first university. Also, try to contact the second university and tell them you have received an offer from another university and have to reply them within one week. May be they can speed up the selection process.

Tank you very much sing005, i have accepted the first offer because the selection of the second university will be next week (after 19th of june). ( i agree with you that the reputation is important but if the salary is egal or little bit deferrent.  In my situation there is a big different bettween the salaries).
Now, the question is : what will happen when i sign 2 offers ( with saudi embassy)?
thankx sing005.

I agree with sing005. You should not sign both. Just ask the university with the better benefits to hurry up as you have another good offer. I am sure they'll do if they really want you. Alternatively, ask the first university for some more time to think about their offer.

You MUST not sign both because as soon as you sign the offer, they start working on your papers and that may land you in trouble if the visa department gets two visa to process for you. They may decline both and you'll be in a really bad situation.

thank you Inthesun. Unfortunatly, I have accepted the first offer, and i m still waiting for the second one ( whitch is more better). I just want to know can i signe the second because it's more attractive ( and tell that to saudi embassy). and inform the first university about this offer.
Thankx Inthesun

I think it should not be a problem technically as long as you inform the first university that you have accepted the other offer. But if the university has initiated the visa process, it may leave a bad impact on the authorities leading to some potential problems in the visa processing (as you would still apply visa thru the same embassy/channel). I would recommend you the following:
1. Join the university you have already signed a contract with. Go there and wait if the second university offers you a place. If yes, resign properly with due notice period/conditions from the first uinversity and join the other. There is nothing wrong in that. Since, by then you would aready be in KSA, the employment permission from immigration office shouldn't be a problem in that case. Since, 2nd university is already delaying the case means they are not in hurry and you can easily gain some time to join (some universities can defer the joining upto a full semester/6months). Also clearly inform the 2nd univ that you are already in KSA and want to join this university by switching the job.
2. Stick with the first offer. It may not necessarily be a bad job until you really find it "not satisfactory". In that case you would have spent some time (say 1 year). So if you want to switch, reapply to the first university and I am sure you can make it again.
3. If you are already "not satisfied" with the package offered by the first university. Leave this option and wait for the response from the second university. There is no point in going and joining a university you are already dissatisfied with. If you are on some job, dont go for the lower package.

At some point you have to make a bold enough decision to get the best option. If I were at your place and were on a job, I would opt for choice 3 stated above and would not join a university overseas if am already not satisfied about it even before joining.

Best of luck

Sing005 is right. I would probably go for option three if I were in your situation.

You may also speak to the first university and tell them because of personal reasons you are rethinking about your decision to move to the Middle-East now, and that you need some more time to make an informed decision. As I said, if they really want you, they'll wait. Tell them to stop the visa process if they have started it so that it does not clash with the second university's one.

If the second university is a gov uni, then it is absolutely normal for them to take all their time. If all your papers are ready, they should send you the visa around the mid or end of July.

Just ensure for the time being that your package is really good. Do not accept to be ripped off.
